- Educated the rural poor about government various food security schemes under the Supreme Court Guidelines. As a result, they mobilize the schemes to address the food in security in the families.
- 13500 bonded labourers are released from Brick-kilns and rehabilitated them in collaboration with the government labour department.
-APVVU involved in educating the informal workers on Forest Rights Act and motivated them to applied for claims as per the Law.
- APVVU is one of the organizations that campaigned Employment Guarantee Act, Right To Information Act, Forest Rights Act and Unorganized workers social Security Act -2009. Follow up action for the effective implementation of these Acts
Enrolled 8, 75,500 rural workers for NREGA. Promotion of Rural Employment Guarantee programs in the entire state of Andhra Pradesh. Involved in Social Audits. Identified areas of corruption and followed up through correction action. Collaboration with the Govt of AP in implementation of NREGS in APVVU working villages.
-In collaboration with government of AP, 855000 rural workers are enrolled into MGNREGA in 14 districts of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and educate them to make use of 100 days employment and there by stopped the distress migration.
-Conducted trainings for NREGA workers to make use of the program and promoted Srama Sakthi Sangas at each village level to assists the government for better implementation.
Educated the rural workers on social legislations to make use of the available spaces for their betterment. For instance, when government of Andhra Pradesh decided to distribute the lands to landless poor in 6 phases, rural poor are educated to apply for government land. As a result, 184500 acres of land is assigned in the names of rural poor women agriculture workers. All the waste lands are converted into cultivable using MGNREGA and brought under cultivation developing seed banks with native drought resistance seeds.
